I mean is it all classic and old music. I love the movie but I'm not into the old 40's big band stuff. I do love romatic songs though. So could someone tell what kinds of songs are on there and if they thinks it's worth buying?

Well, there are only like say 3 songs with words in them. Two are the two different versions of "I'll Be Seeing You" that you heard in the film. And another is called, "Always and Always," which is along he same lines of old 40's music. The soundtrack does contain a lot of 40's big band stuff, bot also a lot of Aaron Zigman's score, which is beautiful. I really love the soundtrack, but that's just me!

The orchestral music (Aaron Zigman's score) is really really beautiful and lovely, and fits with the movie extremely well. But if you don't really like the 40's big band music, i'd steer away from it, because that's what dominates much of the soundtrack. i love all the big band stuff on it, but i like the score better...it just captures the essence and the emotions of everything in the movie

I bought the soundtrack the day after I saw the movie and I love it! I wasn't really into all "big band" stuff either, but now it really isn't that bad, as I thought it would be..but I listen to it every night when I go to bed and it puts me to sleep (all the score music..not the big band stuff) but I love it and play it everyday..so I think it's good...

I havent been able to find it anywheres here You haven't been able to find the sountrack? You can order it off of Amazon.com, (that's where I got mine), or Barnes & Noble .com. But if you don't like ordering over the net, than I'm sure a book store or a music store would have it!

Ditto for me. I haven't played it everyday, but it helps me relax and makes me think of the movie!

I havent been able to find it anywheres here When i read your profile and saw that you're from Eastern Canada sighed...because NO where...and i mean NO WHERE in Canada has the soundtrack i've tried future shop, best buy, HMV, sunrise, sam the record man, Walmart, Zellers...no one even knew what i was talking about you can order it at www.amazon.ca for the cheapest i've seen it...plus, you're guaranteed you can get it for pretty good S and H costs, and they deliver it straight to you. mine took almost 3 and a half weeks from amazon.ca, but i got it. the total came to 30 dollars.

It's a great CD to listen to when you're trying to relax. None of that profane, rap stuff my sisters listens to all day. Lol. It's nice to just listen to and mellow out. It could have used a few more songs with words, but I like it just the same.

Ok thanks, I've been looking for a mellow CD to do homework and stuff to. I just can't concentrate with rap or rock music. But this sounds just what I need. YAY! I'll buy it today when I go shopping. ;D

I absolutely love this soundtrack! I bought it on amazon.com for $13.00 and it was worth every penny! If you like jazzy music or soft, instrumental scores then this is a great soundtrack for you (and it's The Notebook so you gotta have it!!). I like Aaron Zigman's scores the best and Track #1 is my favorite - it plays while the opening credits are rolling. I also like Track #3 I'll Be Seeing You by Billie Holiday because it reminds me of Noah and Allie dancing in the street. The soundtrack just brings me right back to the movie. It's the next best thing next to actually watching the movie ;D
