;D the notebook sounds alot like other movies but (from what i heard) is by far more romantic, with sweeter scenes and a better chemistry between characters. What i mean is that the notebook is ur typical love story but with more elements in it. Doesn't it sound alot like "Sweet Home Alabama"? The main girl torn between two guys (the country guy and the richer city guy whom the parents love more because they care about her future) and its set in the South as well. I also think that both movies use the same southern plantation house but im not too sure. I haven't seen it yet but im very open to spoiling, so if anyone has seen it, please tell me all about it, IN DETAIL. Oh and another thing, the trailer that comes out on tv with the nina gordon song (tonight and the rest of my life), does anyone know if its online anywhere, and can u please tell me the link?

I was thinking the same thing after I saw the notebook. Southern girl and everything. The Notebook is my favorite book, and the movie was pretty good too.

lol beaver, I think it's better cause of the cast and chemistry and the crew and setting. The emotion. It was just one of thos rare things I think where the whole movie came together perfectly. lol I say this like i've even seen the movie but from what i've seen that's what I think lol

i think wat makes the notebook special is that it has every romantic scene possible. A kissing in the rain scene, a reunion kind of scene, a futuristic look of the relationship,a fighting and then making up scene, a bathtub scene (not featured in the movie), a winning the girl over scene, a sex scene(obviously), a cute summer beach scene, the list goes on. What makes the notebook special is that it features all of these scenes when other romantic movies can only add a few.
P.S. im jen.
