Yea.. I dont blame James Garner.. I think the movie was so powerful in its own way.. He probably didn't want words in a book to mess up the chemistry the movie had.. You know? I never read the book but I am going to soon.. I already saw the movie.. So I'm just eager what parts in the book are not in the movie.. I want to know my characters better... You know? Ever since seeing the Notebook i feel like i want to know everything about these people even though i know Nicholas Sparks just made them up and portrayed them in a way by his grandparents which is soooo romantic.. I think that's a sign that true love is there...

Now you have more to look forward to when reading the book. You can understands more of the characters and the decisions they made, and see the parts that were excluded from the movie.
However, I think Garner have a point in looking at the movie as a movie. Like all of us who read the book keep comparing it, though we like both version. I guess he doesn't like to compare. *shrug* Don't know. ;D [/size]
