I'm so sorry Annabanana, but I have to disagree. First, I hate Spears. Secondly, if she did cast the role as Allie in "The Notebook", I would might go screaming like an insane lady. Spears acting is pathetic and held no naturalness or beauty of originality. I still regreat wasting ten dollars to watch "Crossroad". She should just consider singing only because her acting skills-- to me-- seems to rate near zero.
McAdams have that beauty of the 40s' and her acting was magnificent. It's easy to compare the two-- both are newcomers with acting. Therefore, it's not unfair to compare them. Spears would certainly ruin the movie if they did chose her to play the role of Allie. Sure, there are lots of her fans that would run out and watch the movie because of her, but then the movie would be ruined and the gist of the movie would be lost. That would definitely be a waste for a wonderful movie.
Hope you're not offended because you're a Spears' fan and I'm not. I just think her acting is really bad, and it would not be interesting to watch The Notebook with her casting the main female lead. Apologies if you're offended. [/size]

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Britney Spears...*shudders.* Sorry Anna, don't take offense to this... Britney has: 1) no singing ability 2) no acting ability 3) an annoying voice 4) good dance moves that people create for her Had Britney been playing Allie, I would not be seeing this movie. Crossroads was a waste of my 7$...and its 2 hours of my life that i'll never get back again Other than that, SimplyLuscious sumed up basically what i think of britney as well But that's totally fine that you're a fan, i respect that. Rachel on the other hand...was absolutely beautiful cast and amazing as Allie. After seeing her (and ryan) onscreen (together) its evident that no one else could've portrayed Allie better.

Wow, not many are too fond of Britters. I guess it's okay though, but I thought at least a few people would! Oh well, there's nothing I can really do, but I don't really like hearing how Crosroads was a waste of everyones money. I thought it was great!! But probably cuz I'm a typical fan, so of course I'd like it, you all are saying lol. Ryan, by the way, did say that he saw Britney audition and he said that she was pretty good! So...yeah. But I loved Rachel's acting, she was stellar.

Omg, NOBODY likes Britney in here!! Lol, it's okay...I guess. I still love Britney always!!! But seriously, he was with Britney in the MMC, so he saw her act before probably, so he probably already knew she was pretty good. He would be honest if he thought she wasn't good, I know he would.

ok i totally loooooooove Britney. I think that she is a great performer and a great singer, I also think that her acting is good, but I wouldnt want her to play Allie. I just dont think that anyone else could have captured the emotion and acting that Rachel showed on screen. I also dont think that she and Ryan would look good as a couple and I'm not sure that Britney is capable of doing such and emotional and romantic movie as The Notebook. I still love her but Im really happy that Rachel got the part.

However, knowing how many fans Britney has that would go see it, I think it would've been possibly higher had Britney have been in the movie. But that's just my opinion though! The critics would have a field day bashing her though.
