the bathtub scene was cut too, as well as the table scene. It was to help keep the PG-13 rating which will help ticket sales.

isn't that pic basically just when they're overlapping the scenes of them kissing? (don't think thats giving too much away). im SO mad about those 2 scenes...and there were probably more deleted scenes too. how would a bathtub scene gone above pg-13? bathtub scenes usually don't show very much...just heads and bubbles and you can tell where they cut out the table scene...because they cut to the stairs really quickly. d**n pg-13!

HOPEFULLY!! i will seriously cry if there are no deleted scenes. they did that with a walk to remember (which i was kinda dissapointed to begin with) and i was really upset, because on the commentary the director said they shot something like 40 extra scenes or something...
i hope it does well at the box office so at least we might get some deleted scenes!

well i think they will -- because originally, those 'extra' scenes were in the movie -- but were cut to keep the pg-13 rating but when it comes out on DVD -- the rating doesn't matter as much -- because they're not out to make a lot of money from that -- they're more concerned with the box office.

I'm guessing those scenes were cut because they showed outright nudity. I think as soon as you show a woman's breasts or anyone's rear end, it goes to and R-rating. If memory serves correctly, you never see Rachel's breasts (but for a tiny split second when he's carrying her into the bedroom), and you don't see anything but upper-body with Ryan.
Looking at the stills of the kitchen table scene, it looks like you would see Ryan's rear end. And I'm thinking that in the bathtub scene you probably see Rachel's breasts. This is my guess, given that everyone keeps calling it "steamy." That's the only way I can imagine it getting steamier - nudity.
