i recently saw the movie and i was watching the trailer again for fun when i noticed that there wasn't anyscene in the movie when the narrator says ryan's name to present him. basically, he's in the boat on the river and he's wearing this light brownish sweater and he doesn't have the beard which indicates that this scene was when they were young and they didn't have any boat scenes when they were young. correct me if im wrong.

i'm kinda confused about what you're asking...but i think the guy on the water at the beginning was supposed to be the james garner age noah.

No, I know exactly what your talking about. He's like leaning back in the boat and you can see his whole upper half of his body. The narrarator says "Ryan Gosling" and it shows him. Katryna is thinking about the beginning of the movie when Allie is looking out the window and sees the rower. They also show that at the beginning of the trailer.

There were more than the bathtub and kitchen table scenes cut from the movie. I would rather see the deleted scenes put back into the movie in an extended version when The Notebook comes out on dvd, than see them as deleted scenes apart from the movie. I recommend anyone who feels the same to e-mail NewLine to this effect. If you go to The Notebook's official website, at the bottom of the main page, you can click on "feedback". Let your consumers' voices be heard.

i agree and everyone should email New Line to make the movie even better when the scenes are added instead of being deleted
